Challenges negative thought patterns

Do you have a pattern of thinking negative thoughts when things don't go your way? If so, this is called "negative thought patterns." It's when you have a habit of thinking negatively about yourself, other people, or situations that arise. In order to change this behavior, we need to train ourselves to recognize these thoughts and then challenge them.

Create healthy habits to feed your mind, body and soul

In this age of distraction and constant stimulation, it's easy to forget what really matters. It doesn't matter what you write down—the point is to focus on what's good in your life and give thanks for it. It's amazing how much better you feel when you take time to appreciate all the things you have rather than focusing on what you don't have.

Interrupt your negative bias with gratitude

Have you ever noticed that when you're feeling down, the world seems to be conspiring against you? It's like everything that could go wrong does. And then when you're feeling happy and positive, things just seem to fall into place.

Well, you guessed it—science has proven it. In fact, research shows that our brains are hardwired to be negative. When we're feeling good, we tend to attribute our success to luck or other external factors; when we're feeling bad, we tend to attribute our failures to internal factors and outside forces. This is called "the negativity bias."

And while this negativity bias might sound like a bummer, there's actually something pretty cool about it: it means that if we want to change our feelings about something—whether it's our job or our financial situation—all we have to do is focus on gratitude!

Gratitude journaling is an exercise in focusing on what's going well in your life rather than what's going wrong. It can help you interrupt your negative bias by shifting your focus from problems to solutions and from complaints to appreciation.

Help you focus on your strengths

You have a lot of strengths. You are good at many things, but you can be even better if you focus on your strengths. The best thing about focusing on your strengths is that it will make you more successful and happier. When you're successful and happy, it's easier to be grateful for all the things in life that give you pleasure and make life worth living.

Think about when you've focused on improving your weaknesses. Maybe at first it felt like a challenge, but eventually it became just another part of your daily routine—something that was always there and always needed doing but never got done well enough to satisfy anyone. If this describes how you feel about working on your weaknesses, then stop trying so hard! Focus on improving your strengths instead, and watch as everything around you improves with them!

Uses positive affirmations to rewire your thoughts

Our brain is a powerful thing. It can make us feel good, or it can make us feel bad. We can choose to let our brain help us feel happy and confident, or we can let it drag me down into despair. Our brain is flexible and plastic—it changes with our thoughts. Our thoughts are like water flowing through our brain. When we train our thoughts to flow in the direction of gratitude, then that's what we'll experience more of in our lives.
